How to Delete a World/How to Break Wood

I put some wood blocks down in Terraria and I've tried breaking them with a copper axe but they won't break and my character is stuck and I can't move. Also, if that's not solved, please tell me how to delete this world?

if you marked that world as favorite (the star button on the left side) then the delete button is not visible

Okay thanks everyone for you help, I just deleted my world and I'm gonna start a new one!

Another way to solve it is to exit the game and reenter it, your character will start on the original position.

And everything you place is broken with the pickaxe, normal axe is just for trees, mushrooms and cacti.

Everything except the walls, which it require a Hammer.
