How to clear corruption?
How do you clear your map of corruption? Pre-Hardmode and Hardmode. I've tried a lot of things to no real avail.

You need an npc (Dryud I think) and buy the bags of powder that lift corruption, then just throw the powder on the corrupt areas! reply if you need some more help

You shouldnt cleanse it anyways, there's always a use for the drops that come from ONLY those particular mobs, and it isn't hard to outgear those areas making them as trivial as anywhere else.

Clentaminator, with Green Solution from.. Steampunker I think. Try and wipe out all you can.

buy purification powder on dryad and/or clentaminator with many green solution. sold by steampunker. green solution is available when no other solution being sold

clentaminator is very nice item for changing biomes. green solution is needed for clentaminator ammo. its better to wipe all corruption biomes before hardmode because of its spreadness. purple orb will also converted, so be careful when cleaning. dont worry to clean all corruption because it will spawn again. if you wish to delete corruption in your world so you must clean it immediately. please note that corruption and hallow always reverse and make 'V'
._.

I've already pretty much done everything and don't need any more tiems having to do anything with the corruption.

Nope, that doesn't do much.

You could make it hallow and then clear out that? I unno. There's probably some deeper rock that isn't being converted when you spray clentaminator. Try and find out where the spreading is originating from and dig into that, then spray in a circle. Also, if you're not already on a hardmode world, making it hardmode makes a couple "slashes" of Hallow and Corrupt/Crimson go through your world, so there's that to look out for too.

It works, you just have to spray a little slowly so you don't miss a block at the end of the "beam". A single block and reinfect everything.

It's very tedious work, but you can rid a world of corruption entirely. You might wanna leave an isolated part of it with corruption though, there's many things you can only get through it.

As far as this is concerned, how difficult is it to "seed" a biome that doesn't exist naturally? The one complaint I've had is that there's now way to make a single world and get everything from it, as whether it's Corrupt or Crimson changes the loot drops you get drastically. While the Half-Tier alternative steps are nice, I dislike that they seem to be superior to the original almost all of the time. I've got an expert world I'm trying to get to and beat moon lord solo, and it being Crimson seems to mean I'm missing out on one of the best reasons to play it, the scarf. Can I just plop down a single seed and watch it grow, and could killing the WoF nuke said biome? I don't know the specifics of whether Crimson/Corruption gets growth priority.

I've literally dug out and around entire corruption biomes and then sprayed it making sure to get it all. Dryad still says the world has corruption.
