In term of the radar I think it's range might not be as far as the spawns are. I once had a Pinky appear on the sensor, and I moved to the right and Pinky disappeared off the scanner. I moved back to the left and it reappeared and then I saw it after moving a good ways to the left. Now I could have seen two in less then ten seconds, or I could have moved up of it's range. I'd also point out that spawns can happen pretty far off screen.
nymphs....ur outta luck
I been trying to do the farming also with my ash bridge in hell. For now without any success. But will try to keep it up :)
I find it very annoying that rare monsters are de-spawned pretty fast if you move anywhere. For me, this is the one and only complaint I've ever had with Terraria with over 200 hours of game play :)
This is starting to get ridicilous. Please fix this.
Dig a really long horizontal corridor 85 blocks to both the left and right. It can be any height, but make sure the entire empty space is on your screen, and seal off any not on your screen with solid blocks at least 45 blocks above and below the corridor
Now, wire 1-second timers to dart traps on level ground of that corridor, firing both left and right
Mimics will come to you. Enjoy
Thanks Hikumi. I have a corridor but it's not sealed from all around. I'll try this trick with timers too. Sounds fun :P
