Crystal Vile Shard

Now I must say, this is one of the most useless items in hardmode due to it's damage being only around 19. I seriously expect them to buff it,because it sometimes does little to no damage to enemies. Any ideas why the damage is this low? (an I think it needs a buff of at least 40 magic damage to it).

well, vilethorn is pretty useless in prehardmode (or so ive heard)
so it just makes sence that Crystal vilethorn is useless in hardmode,

I used vilethorn quite a bit in pre-hardmode, it's really not that useless against most of the enemies in game especially due to its ability to pierce walls and high hit speed, making it easily usable to farm enemies from through walls (Plus it owns the destroyer as a single shot of it can do hundreds of damage altogether)

Vilethorn is strong againts prehardnode mobs, have a decent damage in preharmode, but crystal vilethorn have a low damage against mobs from hardmode.
