Help needed urgent with invasions!!
So i am just in the middle of building my pumpkin moon farm arena, and to figure out exactly where i need to stand in order to spawn the pumpkin enemies below me on a platform, i summoned a pirate invasion and dug closer and closer towards the ground from my pillar, to see when they start spawning (i covered the ground area with lava except 1 small playform with 20 tiles they can spawn on) and i noticed something extremely extremely odd.

The invasion "progress bar" dissapears whenever i go too far away from my original spawning place, which means that i will have to build my pumpkin moon farm around the area where i originally spawned (in the middle of the map, not to the right or left). Is this a bug? Is it just the pirate invasion? Is my best option to create a new world and build my farm there, and use the world only to farm the moon invasions?

Please help!!!!

So are you asking for help to kill the pirates or help with information regarding invasions?

I thought all invasions happen at Spawn point only ??

Read my post again. Don't understand? Repeat.

As far as I know, invasions always attack the center of the map, though this may be because my home is also always near the center. The army spawns, moves towards the center (briefly attacking players if they're in the way) and then concentrate their attack there.

But Moon events can be triggered anywhere, and the mobs aren't invading your spawn point, they just want to kill you specifically.

I would think you can build your Moon arena anywhere you want.

I need to know for sure. I can't spend hours upon hours building a farm that won't even work.

Dont know for sure if it helps but whenever im doin the pirate invasion theres always a point where the invasion progress bar goes away for a bit and there isn't any pirates spawning.I just kill few mobs and they'll start coming. Also they seem to only attack at surface level. all the events like slime rain, goblin invasion and frost moon seem to spawn most of the mobs at the surface. i've built a floating arena and only have like 1 or 2 pirates ever spawn up there and will have to go down to the surface to actually complete it.

Hope this helps some xD

Well instead of doing that, you might use a single Pumpkin medallion (which does not take hours upon hours to craft) and see if the mobs attack and follow you outside of your spawn area.
