I can't find Skeleton Merchant

I spend a lot of time underground, but I rarely find Skeleton Merchant. Anyone got all items from him? I can give you platinum or Luminite in exchange!

He is found in the cavern layer

I know where he is found but every time I find him, it's not a Blood Moon. ( He sells a specific item during it)

Try make/find a big loop in cavern, about 300 long and 200 high in a kind of oval. Put water candles every so often with a battle potion and just run around it. You usually find him in about 5 minutes.

I have a farm in the cavern layer about 200x100 dug out, I stand in the middle and I have spawning platforms at the right distance for mobs to spawn on etc (just a mob farm I won't go into detail) The skeleton merchant keeps spawning in my farm which is kind of annoying because he blocks monster spawns. Placing 80 jungle grass or Lihzahrd bricks near where you wait will create an artificial jungle biome this helps because jungle biome has the highest spawnrates.
look up npc spawning on the wiki for the spawn distances etc.
