Help: Which Mechanical Boss should I fight first? What level equips should I use?
It seems even with adamantite gear, I'm giving trouble fighting the mechanical bosses. Unsure if I should focus getting the Magic Harp (Twins) or Megashark (Destroyer). Destroyer seems a bit... above my level. Twins SEEM like a good first boss. Skeletron seems a bit higher level. I just can't seem to deal with those limbs. :I

Weapons:
Cutlass (Godly)
Dao of Pow (Godly) (can't seem to find out how to use it properly as the movements are.... weird)
Mythril Repeater (no modifier) (Hellfire Arrow, Jester, Unholy)
Minishark (Rapid) (Exploding ammo seems to be suggested)
Golden Shower (Deadly)
Crystal Storm (Hurtful)
Amarok (Unpleasant)

I also have an (Unpleasant) Spider Staff and have the bench that lets me have one more minion.

Current Armor + Equips:
Adamantite Armor (defense/melee build, though ALL helmets are crafted)
Obsidian Shield (Intrepid)
Bat Wings (Angry)
Wild Tiger Climbing Gear
Spectre Boots (Fleeting)
Frog Leg (Quick)

Misc:
Blessed Apple (unicorn mount)
Ivy Whip (Grappling hook)

I also have a bee mount in storage.

I had problems also untill I found the cross necklace (dropped by mimics) which made bosses a hell of a lot easier. Also, if you make a world and speed run it to hardmode (hope it spawns titanium ore when smashing the alters) and get a full set of titanium armor it will also help. For the twins I made a super long path to just run back (with hermes or better boots) while firing a repeater at the eyes (focusing on 1 at a time) also used same technique for skeletron prime. With the destroyer set up a little arena and use the best weapon that will hit multiple segments. Some heart lamps / fires always help
Reforging your gear to warding would also help a lot

Get the daedalus stormbow with holy arrows (daedalus stormbow is from hallowed mimics)
Get keys of light by killing enemies in the hallow (15 of souls of light will make a key of light)
in which you place it into a chest, quit the UI and it will spawn a hallowed mimic, BE CAREFUL that thing is super hard like a literal boss.

Once you got the bow and holy arrows, get a grav pot and fight the twins, then the destroyer then skeletron prime.

Hopefully this helps, since this bow and arrows make the 5 min fights way shorter xD

I do have the Cross Necklace, I think!
Now what advantage would titanium give over adamantite? And am I correct that adamantite replaces titanium in the same way palladium and mythril replace cobalt and orichalcum?

Also, heart lamps?
By the way, never make Adamantite or Titanium Armor. Farm 3 Ice Golems first, they appear in the Ice Biome when it's raining. With 3 Frost Cores and about 54 adamantite/titanium barsyou can make Frost Armor, which is pretty overpowered imo.

Titanium and adamantite should be same, but actually now when i look at the wiki they are different.

Titanium has abit less defense, but you become briefly invulnerable when striking a enemy. While adamantite has more defense other set bonuses depending on helmet.

I've already made adamantite. What makes the Frost Armor OP?
This is a bit late but heart lamps help regenerate health faster. There made fairly easy, just use a heart crystal on the guide to see how to craft it. Titanium is great for the 1st / 2nd mechanical boss you choose in my opinion. Then you can upgrade to hollowed armor / kill the 3rd and make drax/pickaxe axe and move on.
Destroyer. Definitely. You can make/find a good spot where there is a hill and make it overlap itself 2-3 times, making the fight so much faster and easier, as well as keeping most of his body in the ground, to avoid as many lasers from the body. You'll still have to deal with the ones that pop off his body, but that 2-3 overlaps make it so much easier to deal with than traditional arena concepts of a flat ground.
Cristal storm for the twins, then whit the twins souls make the magical harp and destroy for the destroyer or make house in a mushroom field and buy the mushroom spear from the truffle. try to obtain the clockwork asult rifle from the wall of flesh, is better than the minishark. If you use cristal storm use a mana flower equip and lots of mana potions.

Frost Armor has good stats in general (look at the wiki), and the added benefit of improving both melee and ranged at the same time so that it can be worth it to use both types of weapons and switch as needed.

It's not vital, though.

To answer the original question... it depends on the player. I find the Destroyer and the Twins to both be rather easy, while Skeletron can take quite a while to take down. I typically kill the Destroyer first; a platform will let you avoid most damage and with piercing/AoE attacks and two Nimbus Rod clouds, he just dies very very quickly, especially if you can place your attacks at points where his body passes multiple times at once.
I was actually doing pretty well on a random Skeletron spawn. Whittled two of the arms down on my skybridge until the head bound into me like a bowling ball and killed me instantly.

Could you share what an ideal hill would look like? How tall should I be looking for?

This is where I had him overlapped three times. I kept moving so when he was coming up, he would continue to overlap.

If you get a pair of wings, try fighting The Twins on a sky walkway. Constantly stay in flight and fly in horizontal and vertical zigzags to avoid being shot or lit on fire.
Mind you, I was also using the Amarok and full adamantite armour, which helped tremendously. I had the menacing yoyo bag, melee emblem, boots, flippers, and wings. Random stats, but at least three were menacing, and one was +3% damage.
