Hardmode and i can't use my hearts

Ok so i just killed the wall of flesh, so i should be in hardmode now right? Well i had 15 hearts that i couldn't use because i was at 400 HP. I am not able to use em now to get 500, is there a item that i need to get to 500?

To get from 400 to 500 you need to use Life Fruit. They can be found in the jungle biome in hardmode and they give you 5 hp each. You need 20 life fruit to max out your HP. They look like small green plant hearts.

you can only get to 400 via hearts, to get to 500 you need to find heart plants that grow in the jungle, each adds 5 hp

Don't. You can make Heart Lanterns out of them that make you regenerate HP. Also, you should save the rest in your chests, as you might need them for something in the future.

To get 500 hp you need to find the hearts of the jungle after hardmode
Dont remember de name right now, but grows in underground jungle, and gain 5 hp each one

You won't find Life Fruit right away though. There is a certain "growing" mechanic to them, which, like trees, potted plants, and a number of in-game greenery, requires time for them to actually appear.

Take a little while to mine some new ore after shattering altars, and make yourself some new armor, THEN go life fruit hunting; some hardmode enemies (in this case, the jungle) can be a pain to first time players, so there is wisdom in going prepared.

Keep them to craft into Heart Lanters, which give an AoE regen buff similar to Campfires.

Ok, thanks for the info, one thing that i was wondering , im checking out the wings i can have, i know that treasure bags only drop from Expert, Expert is chosen at the beginning of making the world right, or is it a thing like Hardmode, u kill Plantara or something?

I read on reddit you can get life fruits to spawn faster if you go through your jungle and cut all the grass / plants.. just by virtue of how the game generates ground surface decorations

Ok, ill try it. Umm, HUGE problem, my world is fked, corruption is under my base, i saw on a post that if i make my base floaty that it wont get affected, but i don't want my whole world to be purple :(. I know theres a item that starts with a C to remove it, but easiest way is to kill Plantera, and im far from that.

clentamator. i think thats it. green or blue solution (one is hallow one is normal dont remember which) spary it on the corruption and it will turn it to the solution's biome.

For the steam punker to appear you need to kill one mechanical boss, so you could use some powder from the dryad to turn it, you could go and do it to all of the blocks or just put little areas, as im pretty sure hallow is quicker than corruption
