How do you end the Lunar Event?

I accidentally started the lunar event, and I'm not prepared at ALL for it. How do I end it?

I dont think you can man haha it ends once you win or lose to the moon lord

AFAIK the only way is to destroy all four towers to spawn the Moon Lord. If the Moon Lord is defeated or kills you, the event ends.

Some of the towers are very very hard, but technically you can't "fail" because your progress doesn't reset. You could throw yourself at a tower and die a hundred times, as long as you kill at least one mob its shield with collapse eventually.

The towers drop materials that will let you craft endgame weapons, so your hard work will pay off either way.
