Biome key farm not working?

I made this farm: http://puu.sh/j3YHW/09dffa443a.png It's in the ocean biome, right near the left side of the map. I got 98 blue slime banners and TWO slime staves (1/10000 drop rate), but no Corruption Key (1/2500 drop rate), is my farm not working or is this just a prime example of bad luck?

Note: I do hear corruption music and when fishing I find Ebonkoi.

Well, you CAN'T drop keys from statue spawned monsters, that's all~

Maybe the mobs spawning from statues dont drop the key, try to make a farm that use mobs from the ocean water.

Actually you can. My friend even farmed a key like this a few days ago.

'like this' you mean with statues or in the ocean biome? because key farm at the ocean biome is very popular.

He used a statue and an autoclick script. I put Twin Minions above the lava to to hit each slime once before they die in the lava, substituting an autoclick script to count the slimes as killed by you.

i can give u a corruption key 1.3 changed the key molds into just keys that are cursed
