if you're just going to cheat, why not just give yourself the cell phone and be done with it?
you really don't see a difference between the two scenarios?
One method bypasses the time limit (allowing more quest attempts faster), one method bypasses the RNG (allowing you to choose your award)? They're both cheats, so what is the difference?
There's nothing you can do aside from grinding quests using multiple characters, maybe using the Enchanted Sundial once a week to skip ahead to the next day.
Alternatively, you can remind game developers that RNG-based rewards are stupid.
(They measure angles)
( Alternatively they could just make them rewards for certain numbers of quests like the fishing armor -_- )
I actually try to get through the game while I'm waiting. I started fishing the second I got a Fleshcatcher, and as soon as I catch the fish of the day I go back to getting loot, exploring, and/or beating/preparing for bosses. Even now, with only one major boss left (and a few invasion events), I still am setting up an arena and getting the remaining gear between days.
also the sundial you get from fishing can be used once a week, and it really helps too. Though I prefer to skip Eclipses since I already have every single rare drop from them.
But I had to suffer multiple useless items in my inventory if I wanted the data, and I believe I killed the Moon Lord before I ever completed the Cell Phone.
That one quest a day limit is really pointless. You can get around it by wasting 10 seconds of your time switching characters... so why not just remove it entirely? It serves no purpose.
