How to find meteorite biome?

You need to head to the crimson/corruption and destroy a shadow orb or a crimson heart, the next night a meteor will spawn somewhere on the surface.

its not garanteed that a meteor will fall after breaking a shadow orb/crimson heart, but its still dangerous to do it in a world with your "big houses" because a meteorite Can actualy fall there...

As long as his house(s) are within the first 200 blocks from spawn in either direction he is safe because they cannot spawn there. And it is still required to have broken a orb/heart before there even will be a chance for a meteorite to spawn. I just assumed it's guarranteed to happen because I think I read it somewhere and it happend like three times in a row on my world recently after breaking shadow orbs at 3 different occasions. In case it's not supposed to be this way, I should have used those odds to win the lottery or something instead.
