Nebula Pillars are the worst
with those free-floating magic balls that never stop, to the stupid laser-shooters that reposition every half-second and swarm you. It's the absolute worst and needs to be toned down.

Seeking spells, chlorophyte bullets, or a possessed hatchet can be very invaluable for dealing with the nebula pillar.

I think the solar pillar is the worst, the freakin' crawltipedes.

The repositioning is very annoying, but otherwise, Nebula is actually pretty tame.

It's much easier than Solar (since you can't fly in Solar), so if they decided to nerf one, I doubt they'd nerf Nebula.

can't fly in solar?

Have you tried Vampire Knives before? Makes every pillar a breeze, even Solar if you stay on the ground.

If you stay on the ground, the crawltipides don't attack you.

yeah, I use them all the time, but that doesn't help if Evolution Beams swarm me and never stay put for me to siphon health, not to mention the Brain Suckers.

you can just use Vamp Knives and drain tank your way through that one, easy peasy. There's no surefire way to -not- take damage in Nebula zones. It's stupid af

Tabi saved my life against those nebula floaters. Yeah. Use it. It's useful.

Would help a lot if you could just destroy the homing projectiles.

Can't you?

The Brain Sucklers are the best part of the pillar though, they always swarm toward you, acting as free health packs if you manage to get hit by the Nebula Floater's Beams. If you try an Ichor Flask as well, then nothing can kill you unless you try to tank damage.

The pillars are easy i beat them with adamantite for my expert playthrough

You really need to tailor your gear pre-moonlord drops for each pillar and develop a strategy even after that. I think they are just fine and the difficulty is where it should be. I find it engaging you can't derp it out on your first run through or so.

Also if you have the UFO mount you can fly high enough where the ground enemies are a non-factor and just focus on the eye lasers.

Once you have some moonlord gear you can kill crawtipedes before they even reach you. They are actually pretty squishy. Solar was the hardest for me the first run around.
