Strange Plant Dyes

The Wikia says that you can buy these special Dyes after getting them from the Dye trader prevously. http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Dye_Trader Can anyone confirm this because it is not happening for me.

I can confirm it work, you need strange plants in your inventory then you speak to the dye trader (the one with the black turban) and click on strange plants and you should randomly get some dye

Skiphs blood is the BEST COLOUR! :D

Along with living dyes :P

I think you missed the point which was I can get the dyes from him but according to the wiki he is also sopposed to sell those dyes after they have been awarded.

it seems on the change log it got added on 1.3.0.5, so if you updated your game try trading with him again and check the shop, i will check that too

Speaking to the Dye Trader will show the "Strange Plants" quest, in which the Dye Trader asks players to fetch him rare plants. In return, he rewards players with character-exclusive dyes, which are not available for purchase.

1.3.0.5: Now sells any dyes you have previously received from a "Strange Plants" Quest

It's not wrong lol, it's gonna take some time to make 800+ pages for the new wiki cause of the new items and changes to them

Strange Plant Dyes didn't exist before 1.3, so it's not like the erroneous line is there because it hasn't been updated yet; it was added yesterday.

It appears to be just plain lying.

No you have to get the plants only you cant buy them after you have gotten them before

the only strange dyes he sells are the negative and shadow dye but only at night time in hardmode
