How can adding a room to a valid house make it invalid?
Since people would only read this post here and not the rest, I figured out I might as well move my "new question" here.

This house has now another small room, being quite identical to the one under the "Ladder" .
Those two small rooms are a "suitable housing" , but if I add the bigger one, it isn't anymore.
How?

Hello, people!
I am once more asking your help in finding what's wrong with this house. http://i.imgur.com/pUYI7FB.png
As far as I know, it isn't close to crimson (nor corruption).

Would it be because there's no direct way to get out of the house, the only way being by stepping on the pressure plates? Or am I missing something I can't see for some reason?
whart isnt wrong with this house,no door,no rooms at all,how do you expect to get npcs? My personal advice is make a hotel house,in the middle of a large surface, build it 30 blocks width by 20 blocks high and every blocks (normal for door placing) make a floor with a 2-4 gap replaced with wood planks so npc's can climb and make all the floor gaps vertical of eachother for faster travel, then every 6 block horizontally make a door but start at the edge of the wood planks on the wood that connects, make a chair and table for each room and wall it up,light it up,decorate, puzzah, perfect NPC hotel, its the faster way to make a one location pit stop and its usually wise to either craft a bed or build it around the spawn point, that worked perfect for me and always does so i hope its some form of help

I know how to do NPC hotels. I already have one, I don't like them and decided to make separate houses for them.
Also, if you would've read my second post, you would've seen that I added another room which made it become a valid house - I had then asked how could the two small rooms were a vallid housing but them and the bigger one wasn't.
But still, thanks for trying to help me, I guess..

mugc55 Jun 27, 2014 @ 10:34am
but yeah it may be that you need a trigger placed on the pressure plate or door

Have you tried closing off the diagonally spaced walls so that they're "solid"? I know it might be a bit of an eyesore, but you could round the corners with a hammer; and it might solve your problem. I think that was the issue with another house I saw, but I'm not certain.

the conditions aren't met

Looking at that glass and the buttons, is that some sort of door? I know that if you active the blocks so that it's in a "in state" it could make the housing invalid. I ran into that issue before so I removed the blocks and added a door instead. As long as the blocks are in an "out state" then it would mark it as a valid housing, if not it'll make it invalid.

It is a "Triggerable door". Is there a way to make it stay in an "out state" ?

Try putting an "actual" door infront of or behind it.

Yes, by using it as a regular block. The way you have it now it'll keep popping in and out as long as you keep triggering it. If you want to use a triggerable door try doing it with an actual door instead since they are triggered by wires as well.
