Is there any way to save and exit? Pause the game?

This is not mentioned in any of the guides I've found on Steam. I didn't find it on the game's official wiki, either. Steam doesn't provide any downloadable manual, either.

There doesn't seem to be any way to pause the game, nor a way to save and exit. I don't even know if there's a way to exit without saving, because the game actually greys out the Windows X button somehow.

I like playing games like this for hours on end, but I don't like being forced to. With the game not seeming to pause when it's minimzed, walking away from it (even when I'm in a "safe place" (haven't built a house yet) is decidedly risky. I might die four or five times while I go grab a meal, take a shower, go to work, cut the grass, etc.

To pause the game, go into the main menu, options, autopause. That will make it pause whenever you hit escape (or whatever your inventory button is)

To save and exit, open your inventory, go to Settings, and click Save & Exit. To exit without saving, you'll have to open Task Manager and end the program.

To pause go to the inventory and a settings icon should bottom right corner (i actually just found out this) and a save and quit should appear at the bottom of it when it is clicked on from here you can turn on auto pause so that it pauses whenever you go to the inventory page

An easier way to close the game without saving is the classic alt F4. Make sure autosave is turned off, first.

When running on a new PC I was having trouble saving, figured out, when playing in windowed mode the window needs to be maximised in size. If not the "settings" button is cut off when pressing the "escape" key to bring up the "inventory"
