However, I agree. Diabolists are cheap and need a nerf.
Actually, it's more like an orb of fire but if you go straight for them and stick to the more open areas as much as possible they're actually very easy to deal with. They also only spawn in the areas where the map generated tiled walls so if you really don't want to deal with them you could always move to an area of the dungeon with a different kind of wall.
Yeah, so was most of mine. I just cleared out the most wide open area I could find of anywhere for the casters to hide from me and used the spider/hydra turrets to cover anywhere they started spawning that was out of my LoS. After that it was just a matter of using any decent weapon to kill the ones that appeared on the nearby ledges and taking advantage of a mini-arena setup (puddle of honey, campfire and heart lamp) to stay alive whenever I screwed up enough to get hurt.
It may be worthwhile to make a summoner set of some kind with a twins staff just for moments like this when you're farming the dungeon. It makes the dungeon a cakewalk to farm. The only real dangers at that point are paladins and some of the ranged skeletons but a little dodging and some good weapons will solve that problem easily enough.
Cancerlicious..
