Plat armor, clockwork assault rifle, silver bullets.
999 block bridge. Ran from one end to the other, spammed bullets to kill both of spatnazim's forms first before retinazier. No buffs.
Win.
I first killed the Twins with a megashark loaded with meteor shot and no skybridge (It would actually make the fight much harder if build in the low gravity zone). It was a long fight with a lot of dodging (wings are essential) and running.
And you always have to kill one Twin at a time, fighting foth in their second forms is pretty suicidal.
Thorn only helps with melee hits, it's the fire that's killing me. No I guess I'm not stacking every single potion. Guess I'll start farming ingredients. -_- Thrilling.
Use buff potions if you're not already. Ironskin and regen are the most critical ones, but speed helps too (and would probably be particularly helpful with your strategy). If you use crystal storm a lot, magic power is also good. The new potions from fishing can also contribute - rage, wrath, endurance, and lifeforce potions are all good choices. You'll want a potion-making setup someday if you don't have one already.
Explosive bullets are an option with the clockwork repeater. They do double damage (once for the bullet, once for the explosion) on a direct hit, which makes them more damaging than anything else except potentially crystal bullets (and chlorophyte due to the homing effect, but you can't get those yet). Be careful about self-damage. If the repeater doesn't have a good modifier, reforge until you get one.
Tagging them with ichor will increase the damage of all subsequent hits until it wears off. The best way is probably to have a ranged melee weapon (like a boomerang) and a flask of ichor, or to use a repeater with ichor arrows. These works well because they have a long duration (longer than golden shower) and don't require you to stop using explosive bullets (like ichor bullets would).
Make sure you have good accessories. Lightning boots are a start (although you might as well upgrade them to frostspark someday). I would also have some sort of wings and maybe a horseshoe balloon. Upwards mobility helps a lot with the Twins so you can get over and around them. The charm of myths would also be good. Try to reforge at least some of them to warding, or at least something good (one or two with menacing or quick isn't bad either). If you get caught in the flames and can't get away, a cobalt shield or better (to eliminate knockback) or a panic necklace or better (to give a quick burst of speed) might be worth a try.
All of that should help. If it doesn't, maybe try not using a skybridge and just fighting them normally. I didn't have too much trouble with them in my last game and I've never used a skybridge (or even a really elaborate arena).
