Queen Bee Starting Spawn
So, I`m not sure how this happened, I`m not sure if it`s a bug or by sheer chance, But when I making a world, the first thing that I do is cut down some trees while checking what the game gave me in terms of gear.
Then get body slammed by the Queen Bee.
Yep, fighting a Queen Bee right out of the start, with a Large Copper Shortsword.
I promptly laughed my ass off for about a minute or two.
Then after trying to kill it for a while I quit and deleted the level.

This happened like 10 minutes ago.

Of course it was a bug. It was a bee.

...OK, in all seriousness, this is WEIRD. And a bit unnerving. Where were you? Were you anywhere near the jungle, by any chance?

The world generator can be a bit glitchy, sometimes breaking the bee larva that spawns the queen bee and making glitched underground cabins.

I was like 10 steps from my spawn, just chopping trees. I haven`t even lost sight of the guide yet.
To be more precise, I was in a forest above ground next to spawn.

Also I`m shooting you for that pun.

You didnt' have to delete the world. Exiting and re-entering the world should have despawned the Queen Bee. IF she had spawned because the world generator broke her Larva, you could've re-spawned her by making an Abeemination. Still weird, regardless, that she appeared in the Forest Biome. You should've taken some pics.

Well put. Yes, it was a world-generoation glitch when the larve spawns inside another block. I think its fixed now too...

This happened to me a year ago. Instead of deleting the world, I tried going onto an OP char.

The thing despawned when I left.

I proceeded to give my new char a regular Queen Bee's drops just to pretend I actually beat it, and also because I was really lucky to get it.
