If you take the hood, your magic power will decrease (-40%), but you can heal as much as you damage your ennemies.
If you want to increase the magic power, better use accessories. (sorcerer emblem, etc...)
Spectral armor is a console-only mage armor.
Spectre armor is a pc-only mage armor.
Go hood if you want hp, go mask if you want damage.
Please consider his drops, you're still an update late.
Razor typhoon is an aimbot device and bubblegun has noticably higher dps.
Bubblegun fires 3-4 Bubbles per shot and is currently the highest DPS weapon in the game (as of right now) Wear the Hood, Slap on a few emblems (namely Celestial and Sorcerer) and you can easily facetank alot of bosses. If you throw in some magic/celestial cuffs, you have near infinite mana.
@Magnolia The best Mage weapons right now are Razorblade Typhoon, Bubblegun, Razorpine, Blizzard Staff and Golden Shower. GS isn't the most damaging spell but it sets you up for even more damage since it applies Ichor debuff to enemies hit. Razorpine is a decent all around use weapon and Bubblegun is excellent for when you want to kill everything quickly. Typhoon is useful for mowing down common enemies like zombies and gastropods while Blizzard staff rains death from above and doesn't work underground.
