Fastest movement speed gear?

I'm looking to create a new character and deck him out so he is as fast as possible at getting around on all terrain. Is there any specific items or armor that you suggest I should get to make him faster? Just list all you can think of and i'm going to check my stock or farm for it.

Why am I doing this? Well, I was planning on making this character for farming things in new worlds or searching for the new fisherman NPC.

If you want to be scanning worlds, use a build that consists of some kind of jump boost like the cloud in a bottle, then couple that with the hermes boots + a grapple. jump and grapple flat gound to be able to get max speed instantly, clear gaps in the corruption or crimson with the double jump. After clearing a side, if you wish to continue, leave the world and come back, or use a magic mirror/recall potion. repeat with the opposite side.

To go along with what ninjacricket said, try to get the Shiny Red Balloon. That doubles your jump, so it works really well with the Cloud In A Bottle.

Use fishron wings aswell, they make you run and fly very fast in water

No ones mentioned Master Ninja Gear? You can spam the forward dash for a massive speed boost over and over again... fly up, hold space bar to glide and spam forward to dash forward every other second - fastest way to get around a world short of building an asphalt road through the sky.
