It's hard to miss when you see it.
Its not even good, its only a good weapon if you per chance run by it on a new character.
And since everyone on steam is obsessed with making brand new characters 100 times a day fresh ones at that theres no point in looking for one unless you wanna brag about how you found one after rolling alot of worlds.
That (special, rarer) sword is a lot worse.
finding the enchanted sword is more rare than 10 tims and 20 doctor bones spawning in the same area, and unless you find it very early game its a very weak weapon and even it's hard mode counterpart is easier to obtain by far
Weird, maybe they increased the rate they spawn on Expert, but I've found 3 so far since 1.3.
OP, the telltale 1-tile straight tunnels are what give away the location of the "Sword in the Stone" treasure rooms. However, they usually don't reach quite all the way to the surface. Generally, you'll want a way to see through blocks to find them.
Each "Sword in the Stone" treasure room has a 1/3 chance of having a functional sword. 90% of the time it's an Enchanted Sword, 10% of the time it's an Arkhalis.
So basically the rarest item here is the Arkhalis at 1/30 chance per Sword in the Stone treasure room.
With a decent way to scan the surface, I'd say less than two hours on average. With huge variation on account of luck, of course.
With no way to scan the surface... yikes.
I actually found Arkhalis on my first ever try at this so that was pretty amazing. The Shrines were pretty spread out for me (two on the right and one on the left of the map), so make sure you check the whole map. Hopefully the video helps!
