Can't find Doctor Bones!

Hello everybody! I have been trying to find the zombie called Doctor Bones lately but can't find him anywhere :( I've tried to place a water candle in the jungle on nights but he won't spawn! Can he only spawn on hardmode or blood moon? Please help!

Doctor Bones are rare zombies, you will kill them once. lol

i'm also looking for doctor bones, so heres the information i collected:
The way monsters spawn is a descision between which spawns, if a slime spawns, either blue or green or even a completly different thing , so i'v been planning a farm based on limiting options,for doctor bones and tim you should make a large space of jungle, because monsters spawn more often in jungles, then what you will want to do is make sure there is no water, marble,lhizhard temple or granite near, so then your chances are actualy greatly increased, then mix that with battle potions and water candles

thanks for the tip bro! but I've already found him :P Found him yesterday while standing in a safe house made out of mud on the surface jungle with a water candle, and a lifeform analyzer :P

Anything else you did? Because I just spent 3 days straight to spawn him, without success.

I just found him while I was searching for life fruits/building a Plantera arena. Twice.

Try on a blood moon. Also lifeform analyzer and hunter potion (battle potion if you can) might help you locate him in case he spawns in one of those sealed caves below you somewhere.

Yeah I wouldn't bother "searching" for him, just play the game as normal and he'll eventually appear.

Don't feel bad about it being a Rare Monster. I made a spawn zone and killed a dozen-or-so Nymphs while building it, but never even seen a Doctor Bones outside of the wiki...not even before 1.3 even...

He's a zombie that spawns in the jungle biome. the more zombies you kill at night in the jungle, the better chance of him spawning.
