Corruption key don´t work

Hey! I got the corruption key and i try to open the chest in the dungeons but it don´t work. Whats wrong?

Does the tooltip say "It has been cursed by a powerful jungle creature"?

Because if so, it means you need to beat Plantera.

I got the key in hardmode in the corruption biom. i have not killed the Plantera yet, it´s to hard for me. Maybe i try it with friends... Thanks!

Because in Corruption worlds, unless you bring Crimson in, you CANNOT get the Crimson key, because there is no crimson.

Also, Crimson biome chests don't generate in corruption worlds.

In fact, at this very moment I''m in a crimson world trying to get to Plantera so i can use this Crimson key that my friend gave me.

they nerfed it a bit. good luck getting more than 10 hp per hit.
