Transfer iOS Data to PC version
My son currently has a iPad with the iOS version of Terraria but going to be giving him a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 as can also use it for school and then giving his iPad to his younger sister.

But he doesn't want to lose his stuff from Terraria so is there anyway to copy all his Terraria content from the iOS version to the PC version?

nope, the reason being there is alot more stuff in the PC version, and the fact that the ios version has some stuff that the PC version does not

You can't.

I am not quite sure that is possible... iOS and PC (Windows, Linux, Apple, ect) are totaly different systems (platform and data compression), my point is that the way the data is formated... the PC won't recognize the files (due to them being from a Smartphone or Mobile Device). It would be easier to cheat the things he had onto the PC version.

I believe the PC version and all other versions are coded in different ways and don't really mesh that way. It's a different developer than the PC version, and it has different content. It'd be awesome if you could, but I think your best bet would be to use an editor to recreate a lot of what he's built in his primary world and give him the goodies (that he has that are available in the PC version) through similar means. Won't be a quick job, though. =/

I don't think so. Last time I checked the mobile version was at a different stage of development from console version or the computer version. If he's going to be playing on a PC, there are tons of save game edit programs, so he can get his gear and supplies back instantly, but he'd have to rebuild his base/outposts/etc

It would be absolutely impossible. But what you CAN do is enjoy the content that is currently avaliable on other platforms. But, if you really want to, you can create a character, use an inventory editor such as this one[forums.terraria.org] and add in the stats, items, and equipment you need.
