crimson key dosent work

before the 1.3 update i got the crimson key and now on the 1.3 i found the crimson chest and it wont open with key can anybody help me if this have been discussed earlier can anybody leave a link

It won't work with a Key Mold from 1.2.4. You need to either turn it into a key(Which I advise against, it's now an unobtainable item!) OR go farming for the actual key in crimson.

You have to do this before you can open any biome chests:

1. Unlock Hardmode (Dunno if this is necessary...)
2. Defeat all 3 mecha bosses (Also don't know if this is really necessary...)
3. Kill Plantera (This is necessary tho...)

All three steps are nessesary, as keys won't drop outside hardmode, you can't open the chests without beating Plantera, and Plantera's bulb won't spawn until you beat all the mechanical bosses.

the last question to all of you how do you soummen them and in which order

The mechanical bosses will show up eventually on their own, but you can expidite their arrival by building the various Mechanical boss summoning items (Mechanical Worm[terraria.gamepedia.com]/Eye[terraria.gamepedia.com]/Skull[terraria.gamepedia.com]) or having them drop for you. I'd reccomend fighting the destroyer first, as it's the easiest of the lot.
