Hallow is it good or bad?

Well i play terraria in my XBOX version and recently i reached the hardmode and i come in contact with the corruption and the hallow and they spread very quickly i made a 5 block tunnel from the surface to the hell between my house and the corruption but how about the hallow? It's good let her spread or should i containd it? Well in comparison between the hallow and the corruption the halow it's quite cute with the deadly unicorns and such...

pls help me before i let the hallow conquer my world!

The hallow is deadlier than regular terrain at the start of hardmode, but it doesn't destroy the jungle either. It's reasonably safe to let it spread.

It shouldn't unless it's made of wood. The hallow and corruption can't spread through any player-made brick.

Well, you can either dig around your house or let it change to pearlwood, which will really only mean you'll have pixies and unicorns around your house now and then.

NPCs will move out of corrupted town but they stay in hallowed one.

The hallow is basically the corruption with some manners. I mean it'll still rip your face off, but it's a bit more polite about it

Neither Hallow or Corruption can spread through wood blocks. Those big trees are great for keeping them at bay early hardmode. I usually make the area around my house hallowed regardless though, never know where those random pearl/crim/ebonstone blocks will turn up when you break an altar.

Its ok to let the Hallow spread to your house because NPCs will not move out and niether will hallowed enimies spawn if there is enough NPCs. And no, Hallow will NOT infect player placed wood. It only effects trees.

Well I learned something new. That's a bit of an odd distinction though, only affecting trees, but it makes sense.
