Any tips on how to trigger the Martian Madness event?

keep roaming around on ur world till u find a little drone that is wondering around then just walk up to him and it should start

There is no item to summon the martian madness event, but after you defeat the golem, a floating drone will appear in your world acationally, it will have a green dome and sway a little bit, if you get near it the martian madness event will be triggered shortly after. do not try attacking it because it can be destroyed and the martian madness event will not happen. (I believe the drone mainly spawns around the surface away from your NPCs.)

they lowered the spawn chance of the probe (thank god) but I find they like to spawn in the same spots for some reason. Just roam around across the surface of your map and you should find one after a while. Or, if you do something like farming, you'll get one even though you don't want one!

They do actually have a higher chance of spawning in the space layer, so you could hang out up there and wait for one to come

Go to the outer edges of your world (probes don't spawn in the center). Build up into space (higher probe spawn chance). Make a little box out of lihzahrd bricks (increase monster spawn rate), place a water candle in it (increase monster spawn rate, increase max number of monsters spawned at a time), and wait. Kill off the harpies/wyverns that spawn so monsters don't get capped. You can use a battle potion (same effect as water candle, but it stacks), you can hold a water candle (stacks), and Blood Moons/Solar Eclipses increase monster spawn rate.

After all of the above, should take you less than an hour to get your first probe. I can't go near my probe spawn station without getting harassed by them lmao

Did you just stay inside the box and it came to you or did you make the box and then a bridge out from the box? I made the box but now im wondering if i was supposed to just sit there or if i was supposed to make a lizard brick skybridge as well?

Hello! The Probes are tricky to find,but they are MUCH easier to find in the Space Layer :) Just be sure to have ALOT of potions and weapons on you.....
