Angler Quest Count Reset?

Was the Angler Quest count reset on worlds made before 1.3? I've noticed the number of quests required to get the angler armor was reduced but I had already completed enough to get the hat and vest and I'm not sure how the game is handling this. Also I finished my 10th angler quest achievement, but I've done well over 40 now quests in that world and got no reward for he 10th?


I'm confused. How do I get the angler pants and the gold fishing rod now?

Edit: I looked up my quest count and it's well over 50. So now I can't get the angler pants or the golden rod. So seriously, what I am supposed to do here?

super late response, but i have somewhat the same issue on my other steam account lol, i have two golden fishing rods. one from completing 50 and other after 75 quests done and a like 1/150 chance so i know i have at least 100+ now cause i just got the 25 quests done achievement lol.. so idk, i guess it reset during this new addition to the game. New items are useful to me though so i don't really mind.. Just find a martian invasion till you get a ufo mount, or do fishron for the mount then make an expert world specifically to fish in (id recommend the mounts to easily access the sky islands or just fish over the ocean on it) that's what i've done lol managed to get at least 10+ quests done pretty quickly. As long as you have sitting ducks fishing pole it's not that big of a difference, and the clothes don't make that much of a difference if you're missing one thing. should still beable to get 60+ fishing power on a good sized lake. But you could like i said make that new world and get angler quests done and hope you get one of those. other than that not sure what you could do besides inventory edit it.
