Best way to get golden keys?

Probably raiding the dungeon.

Finding one in an unlocked normal Chest in the Dungeon.
Finding one in an unlocked Living Wood Chest inside a Living Tree.
Killing a Dungeon Slime.
Killing a Dungeon enemy (1/65 chance).
Breaking a Pot in the Dungeon (1/40 chance).

slimes
all you need is slimes
battle potions
they work too
dungeon enemies drop keys periodicly too
slapping them gently drops a key too

Golden keys are always dropped by dungeon slimes 100%. If you don't have the dungeon unlocked they can be found in wooden chests. They are also dropped (more rarely) from dungeon enemies and dungeon pots.
