"Armored Skeletons" "Armor Polish"

I've literally spent well over more than enough time killing these things pre-plantera (not the ones in the hardmode dungeon) and I'm starting to debate whether or not it drops armor polish prior to killing plantera,

I am playing expert mode with a 2% chance of it dropping in comparison to the beam sword dropping which is 0.67% and if that is doubled also which it doesn't say on the wiki it still would be a less % chance than getting the armor polish and I have gotten two beam swords.

Not sure if RNG is just against me or it actually doesn't drop until plantera is defeated. If anyone could shed some light onto this I would appreciate it.

Just RNG Vs you. You are VERY unlucky then I got the polish quite fast with a nice wide area
and water candle / battle potion

yeah i've been using water candles (not battle potions) might consider doing that and seeing what happens. But yeah I'm unlucky I am assuming :)

So i stumbled on this thread because i was having the same problem, I'd killed 442 armored skeletons and still no armor polish. I took darkflashz's advice and made some water candles and battle potions and headed down to the cavern layer. literally the first armored skeleton i killed, before i even took the potion or placed the candle, dropped armor polish. haha

in pre-plantera and 450 kill and no drop of armor polish.
if I got it post-plantera, i will post in here and change wikis.
