Slime is falling from the sky bug?

I dont know if I am just unlucky but I got it twice and barely any slimes are spawning, is this a bug?

The spawns were a little weird for me the first slime rain I had. I'd sit around getting 1 to 3 slimes fairly slowly, then I'd suddenly get 6-8 slimes or very fast spawn rates.

I'd say it's just random, and sometimes they take a bit to get their spawns going.

It's possible it has to do with the mob cap - if there was eg an unlit underground cavern or something nearby, the enemies there could be preventing more slimes from spawning. Generally you won't have more than 10 mobs around you at any given time - this changes in some circumstances (eg blue candles), but I doubt Slime Rains raise the cap.

A Radar accessory would clarify that sort of thing, in future.

No. Slimes rain for about 5 minutes, and spawns the King Slime at excatly 6:00pm.
