Pre-Mech Boss Best Setup?

Ok, im currently running a summoner spec with spider armour, staff and queen spider but finding it isnt really putting in the work i hoped for on bosses, whats the best pre-mech equipment i could run for damage output on expert mode, any spec? :)

Adamantite/titanium is the best pre mech gear you can get for melee. If you want to play a summoner you got to find a way to deal with the mech bosses with your spiders. There isn't any better pre-mech.

I went fishing in the jungle for a sword. Not sure what it's called. It an auto-swing sword that spawns small grenades that split up in smaller pieces. You can destroy the the destroyer within a minute while wearing adamantite. I reached 12k dps against the destroyer with that blade.

Useless info for you: it also drops from plantera. remembered name = seedler.

If you can find or create a hallowed mimic, they can drop the Daedalus Stormbow which fires arrows from the sky (much like the Starfury). Combined with holy arrows the bow can decimate the Destroyer within seconds due to the piercing nature of the arrows.
