hardmode ores, which better?

cobalt vs palladium
mythril vs orichalcum
adamantite vs titanum

idk which to choose, any help?
(i checked cobalt vs palladium and i see palladium is better i think)

Right side has better defense and set effects. Paladium regeneration is very useful for bosses. Orihalcum armor is good for dealing damage.

Need titanium for Frost armor though... Which is a good set for mining since the chest and legs give you the most pre-plantera defense allowing you to use a mining helm or night vision helm.

titanium and adamantite are the best, the other 4 aren't worth bothering with beyond pickaxes

the ores on the left were OG and the ones right were added in later, so that's likely why the ones on the right look fancier.
I think they are slightly better as well, like, the weapons they make have an extra 1 point of damage compared to the left, but it's negligible.
I assume most people choose one over the other for the set bonuses.
