Anyone try the Medusa Head?

Seems like a pretty great item from the videos ive seen, but the droprate is so low, So does anyone know if its worth getting? im on hardcore expert so i need the best possible weapon

I got it randomly pre-hardmode Ithink. It was good then, like really good. I dont find myself using it as much as I used to though. Good for mowing down slime though!

It's a bit unwieldy to use later on in Hardmode due to the charge. If you don't charge it doesn't do that great damage and what little you do will be mostly negated by armor. If you do charge it,you're not dealing damage for a couple of seconds, forcing you to dodge to avoid damage.

its decent on multi-segmented things like the eater of worlds or the first part of brain of Cthulhu, not sure about the destroyer but willing to test

I'll give you mine. Got it dropped at the start of hardmode as I was stunlocking a Rune Wizard with a Night's Edge screaming "DON'T SHOOT IM WHITE" and the medusa kinda ran into the blade.
