Getting killed as soon as I start the Skeletron fight.
As the title says. I've tried twice now and he's killed me both times instantly as I started the fight. I'm playing on Expert with 52 defense and 400 health but that still seems excessive. Is this a bug or did they really make him this ridiculous?

Did you fight him at sunrise by any chance? You have to kill him while it's still night time, when day comes he one-hits you even if you have the best Hardmode gear in the game.

It was defintely during the night. After it happened the first time I thought I might have started it too early so I waited a bit and it still happened.

Well i killed him perfectly fine but, if you take out the hands then he is a LOT easier

I don't even get a chance to fight him though, literally as soon as he spawns I die.

he might be spawning right on top of you

I find it unlikely that Skeletron killed him in one hit, even in expert mode.

What armor do you have?

EDIT: Oh, it says in the original post. Whoops.

do you hae full health when he spawn, if not one of his hands might be hitting you.
