Where is Blinkroot?

I haven't played in awhile, but before 1.3 I couldv'e sworn Blinkroot grew all over in the underground, and flashed while it bloomed. Now I can't find it anywhere.

Am I dumb or did it change to be more rare?

Since the inclusion of underground desert, sand is more abundant. It was relatively rare before but it simply had a lot of space to grow in. Now that space is restricted or covered in jagged edges from world gen. Blinkroot illuminates its surroundings so i recommend looking for caverns with it underground using your mini map

1.3 did make plant growth less common, which I find good since I would get too many alchemy materials.
