Single Player not working

Whenever I Try to join a single player world I made in the past or a new one the game crashes the second I select a character. Even when making a new world and a new character this happens but if I go multiplayer I have no problems. Anyone know how to fix this ?

I have exactly the same problem , are you running windows vista or xp ? Personnally I am that's why I suppose that these crash happend because of this.

Have this problem accept it happens on muti and single ;-;

Found the problem any map that was in my terraria folder older then 1.3 made my game crash deleted them and worked fine now.

This is a new computer and I have no idea how to get to such folders :C

If you type terraria in your computer menu search bar you most likely see the worlds map pop up if not here is where its located for me. C:\Users\me\Documents\My Games\Terraria\Worlds.
