Treasure bag sometimes not dropping?

So, my friend and I were playing terraria and we did a few bosses. We did the King Slime which dropped us the bag with no issues. Later, we did the eye of cthulhu and only I got a goodie bag. We did it again so he could get one and we both got one that time. Now we are trying to kill the EoW but no treasure bag spawned. We have done it 2 times and nothing. We have dug around the area looking for it but we didn't find anything. Am I missing something or is something else going on?

I had a similar problem.First boss we beat was EOC ,we both got a treasure bag ,mine was on the floor because I wwas dead ,but I got it.When we beat EOW ,he got a treasure bag ,but I didn't ,it wasn't on the Ground *Dead again*.We beat EOW again,but no one got bags.What's going on?

same me and my friend were fighting king slime and i killed it yet nothing happened, it didnt give the defeat in the chat nor i got any treasure bags

I know that in multiplayer each player gets their own Treasure Bag (on Expert, obviously).

I'm not sure if this may be bugging out.

If you die during a fight and don't do damage after you respawn, you don't get a treasure bag, I believe. If you don't do damage at all you definetely don't get a treasure bag.

i killed EOC multiple times both on expert and master yet still no bag. I dont know how to fix this.

Treasure bags will drop from bosses in Expert mode worlds. The world would have needed to have been created as an Expert mode world. It wouldn't matter what type of character you bring in, it only depends on the world. Are the worlds that you're trying to get treasure bags from an Expert mode world?
