anyhow just keep trying and get back at us if you find a pickaxe that does it

Since TNT cant break it I guess Molten-Pickaxe maybe. But I wait with boss-progression till my friend comes from the school, dont wanna progress without him and we havent beaten any bosses so far in 1.3 since we wanna play it slow and focus on exploring/building first.

you could mine for minerals gems ores ect. you know you wont get ahead just make it so you are never out of resources

Thats what I am doing all night already (since I have no school atm). I nearly got 30 Crimtane-Bars just by farming the little chunks randomly spawning. But lets stop off-topic-talkin :P Hope someone finds our AND posts it here what pickaxe etc you need for the Fossils :P

Our server just solved this issue. In order to break it apart, you need to have beaten the Eater of Worlds or Brain of Cthulu for the Nightmare Pickaxe or the crimson equivilent.
