i need help, i cant join my friend via steam

i can not join one of my friends via steam i try to join his game but all it says is that it is joining, but never works

I find a solution. Say your friend to invite you. DONT accept. go to Multiplayer Join via Steam and accept the invitation. Sorry for bad english

Alt tab and see if there is somthing you need to use your admin password for. I got a notification and had to input my pw and multiplayer worked afterwords.

Same here, when I invite my friends they accept but it just brings up game info.

when my friend sends me an invite i can accept it and it says joining him then i goes to say "connecting to" and crashes

the problem I previously had is fixed, but now whenever i try to play with my friend it says he is offline when im talking to him

I use official server. How connect it for steam? I'd start 'start-server-steam-friends.bat', error: ~"Please launch the game from your steam client". I don't want host server via game.

1. your friend must have PUBLIC IP, so his network provider doesn't block incoming connections from internet to him

2. if he use router, he must forward port in router because otherwise router don't know what to do with incoming connections
