How to I kill a goblin summoner at beginning hardmode

I am using a phoenix blaster with meteor shots

Same thing happened to me, I was about to fight the WoF and saw the invasion and just ignored it. Went up to the surface and the summoner wiped my face across the floor. I died close to 30-40 times in one invasion. Sadly the only real way to beat it with such low tier gear is to just keep throwing yourself at the invasion until they get cleared out.

when you first start hardmode, I don't think it's worthwhile to try n kill the summoners, I'd just focus on the normal goblins, although if you're after the item drops, the best advice I can give is jump when he shoots the shadowflame apirations, phoenix blaster won't kill them quick enough, and just keep shooting him when he's on the ground, when he's airbourne don't bother you wont hit him enough, just focus on dodging everything.

I would get a better weapon and higher-tier (like Adamantite) armor before the fight, since those upgrades wouldn't be hard to get yet would make a huge difference.

Should be more than enough for the Summoners, and after getting a Shadowflame weapon you'll be all set for quite a while.

You only really need Orichalcum or Titanium/adamantite to do it. Focus on getting some of the amazing early- hardmode weapons like the Amarok yoyo from the ice biome, or even the ylets from the jungle biome. Frost armor is also great, and so is the spider set. Try making crimson/corruption and hallowed mimics for thier great gear. The summoners can drop you some pretty good early hardmode stuff too: The shadowflame knife, bow, and hex doll.

In terms of health my tip is to stay a decent distance form your nurse so they dont hurt her, magic mirror to your nurse when you're low, and then quickly get back out of the house.

You want to take out the apparations she spawns quickly before they can do too much damage to you, and then focus on the summoner itself.

Actually, there is an easier way of killing him all you have to do is obtain the Ice Sickle in the underground snow biomes. The sickles projectiles hit the summoner multiple times as you run away from it and as long as you have lightening boots (or Hermes boots and Rocket boots) or wings it doesn't take that long.

Also it's probable that OP has already killed a Summoner give that they have had nearly four years to do so.
