You do know that a hellevator is just a vertical shaft straight down? You don't need any help to build one. Or five.

no offense, but if this is your first Hellevator, you should do it yourself.
consider it a "rite of pasage".
we all had to lose the fear of depths and dig all the way through. it takes time, you might even die on your way, but once you finish it, and arrive on hell, you will feel like a boss. and that is worth more than any help we can give you, since that would be spoiling the game for you.

i do, however, recomend you the following:

1 - dig STRAIGHT DOWN. 2 squares is enough for you to fit in, no need to constantly walk around.
2 - bring a few glowsticks. then, throw one at your feet. it will fall alongside you, helping you see what you are digging with no need to craft of place torches.
3 - bring buckets of water, you will need those to dig through lava in case you find some.
4 - dont even try to come down here if you dont hve the nightmare pickaxe or its crimson equivalent. shadow or crimson armor are recomended as well, but if you already nailed Skeletron, necro armor works as well. jungle armor is also viable.
5 - sand is also helpfull in many ways: you can use it to make ground under you if you find a massive hole, or to make walls of a tunnel through water, making draining the tunnel easier.
6 - once you are done, i recomend returning to base, buying 999 rope, and making a ladder all the way down. climbing down ropes has 100% the speed of falling, and 0% of the pain. plus, allows you to easily return. you may also make a pool of water at the bottom, in case you fall, or place some cobwebs.

if you STILL insist in someone digging it for you, my Shroomite Diggin claw is ready. i can dig to the bottom of a large world in 3 minutes or even less, depending on how much lava and lakes i come across. with the best gear available to you, it should take 20 minutes to do safely.

Some more tips:

- Make the shaft 3 blocks wide. That way it will also stop the biome spread, particularly in hardmode where more than just grass gets infected.

- If you place a couple of platform on the side of the shaft entrance, you can safely walk across the hole withouh fear of falling in accidentally.

- Do not wait for the shaft to be complete before using rope! Placing the rope down the middle is an easy way to make sure that the shaft is alligned properly. Rope in the surface layer also stops the spread of corrupt/crimsoned thorns. Rope is also an easy way to prevent fall damage.

- Do not drain away the water that will no doubt collect in the shaft. You might need a diving helmet or some gills potions in order to dig it when flooded, but the water will neutralize any lava that you might hit in the lower layers. It will also neutralize the lava in the underworld, if you break through to a lava lake.

- If you hit a spider nest, just cover the entire whith of the shaft with rope, instead of just lining it in the center. Then when you're through the nest, just start placing it back in the middle again. That will prevent the cobwebs from spawning inside the shaft.
