Broken hero swords not droping?

Why won't they drop I have killed tons of mothrons (even got a banner) but not one sword dropped. I have even found a way to to kill them with out moving or getting hurt.

Well a lot of friends got them in there first and I checked and it is 25% chance to drop

If you are asking why they aren't dropping, it is just poor luck. If you are asking for a couple, I believe I have a few spare.

I have been a bit unlucky with their drops recently, but I have checked and I have 10

I have killed more then 50 and not one though so the chance of that is very low.

I have had multiple items not drop anywhere near as often as I expected, even having looked up on the official wiki the stats. I have killed loads of mothrons recently and gotten no swords, but I got 10 in about 9 eclipses as soon as I beat the Golem.

On the other hand, I'm not wholly convinced that you aren't simply missing the BHS when it drops because so much other stuff is dying and dropping items that the older stuff starts to despawn. It's a possibility.

I think he means that if you have a farming setup, and you leave all of the drops to go and then collect them later, the common drops go into stacks and the hero swords are despawning before you get there. If you have it so you collect the farm drops as they fall, then it isn't the problem.
