Go in game to the place. By default, steam lets you take a screenshot by hitting the f12 key. If you have rebound it, you will need to know what it was rebound to.
Once you have taken the screenshot, open your steam overlay by pressing shift and tab at the same time (holding one key down and hitting the other also works.) In the group of different blocks at the bottom of the overlay, the lower left one should say "screenshots" on it. Select the button for screenshots.
It'll bring up a new window, which by default should be set to showing the screenshots taken during the current session. If you took the screenshot properly, then it should be showing up on that window. Click the screenshot's icon.
When you do, the right side of the window will change to show the screenshot you took, as well as a few othe roptions below it. You can add a caption to it, and more importantly, publish the screenshot. Publishing the screenshot will place it onto your profile.
Once it's been published, go to your profile on the main steam window. Hover up to the top menus. The one on the far right should match your steam display name. From that menu, select content (alternatively, you can go to your profile, then scroll down a bit toward screenshots.)
Once you are on your screenshot wall, click the specific screenshot you want. It'll bring up a sub-window of the shot. Click the top of the sub-window. This will bring up an entirely separate window. On that window, below the screenshot, is a "share" button. Click that and copy the link and paste it on this thread.
Either way, the share button should bring up yet another window, which will have a link you can post here in the forums.
EDIT:
and here's that screenshot I promissed (it was the one closest to the top of my own publish screenshots that was from terraria, which is why I picked it):
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=475277803
And yes, it should look something that. Just copy and paste the link and steam will do the rest.
