Eater of souls spawn rates are too damn high!

so i'm in the corruption building a bridge to fight the eater of worlds. and i counted around 18 eater of souls spawned at once, and before i can even switch to another item, more spawn.

literally everytime i go into the corruption i get swarmed by a dozen eaters and if i make it out of that alive ANOTHER HUNDRED SPAWN OUT OF NOWHERE so yeah, eater spawn rates are way too frickin high

I mean. It is quite annoying, but what do you expect? It's the corruption. It's not meant to be peaceful. Plus, 18 at once? Never happened to me, I think your overstating the circumstance a little too much.

If a biome is so annoying I decide to build a platform bridge over the entire thing is it really good game design? Especially when you kind of need to access that 40% of the world on the other side?
