any tips to defeat Empress of Light

the title says it all im kinda stuck i want the Terraprisma but i cant defeat that boss i just get clapped yet alone wait till sunlight.

I can't remember but isn't there an accessory or armor set that makes you take 0 damage from an attack, with a cooldown? I think it's the hallow armor; using that is all I remember doing, maybe the ninja gear too, but you'll just have to fight the boss a ton to get better at dodging it and not getting in a situation that costs you the fight.

The empress ignores invincibility during daytime. any dodges won't work.

Master ninja gear for a chance to dodge and to have a good dash, charm of myths for 45sec potion cooldown, betsy wings for best hover board effect speed, frozen turtle shell reduces damage taken by 50% when below 50% health and a worm scarf, use all potions too like ironskin, regen, swiftness, endurance, wrath, lifeforce and archer if that's your weapon of choice, beetle armour max defence helmet. make sure you have good weapons. the empress can be fought pretty early on but isn't meant to be fought till much later. similar to duke fishron. try to have at least post golem weapons.

completely ignore defense as daytime EoL will instakill you no matter what unless you somehow have 100% Damage Reduction which is basically impossible.

focus entirely on damage and mobility.
I recommend a mount like cute fishron, witch broom or ufo.

also don't forget potions like wrath, rage, summoning and mana power/regen.

I remember using the hallow armor to save myself from dying from the boss a while ago.

theres not much you can do, but any i-frames or defense is useless against daytime empress because of the 10k+ damage so get whatever does the most damage for your class. also if you're trying to learn eol's attacks, theres not much you can do but practice. eol does have a pattern so its best to practice that and dodging all the attacks

That worked originally, but the 1.4.4 update made it so that her attacks override any armor/accessory dodge mechanics. Kind of makes sense, since the whole point of the daytime fight is to no-hit her.

EOL is a bullet hell styled boss. In bullet hell games, if you get hit you either lose your powerups (none exist in Terraria for this mechanic to work) or you die if you get hit just once. EOL at daytime was made to emulate the same mechanics as bullet hell game bosses.

When they figured out people were using the hollow armor and ninja gear dodges to survive a few hits, they adjusted EOL to ignore the dodge invincibility frames. So dodge will no longer help you in this fight.

To defeat EOL, your going to have to do as all people in bullet hell games do. Learn the patterns of attack and how they are avoided. Yes that's hard to do but it is doable.

Choosing a good mount like the witches broom or the flying saucer mounts for infinite flight helps. If you don't have those, you can also use fishron or betsy wings as was stated above as they give good maneuverability and flight speed, Fishron mount is also good if it's raining during your fight with EOL.
