Desert Chest

I obtained Desert Key for dungeon chest, but I could find only Corruption, Hallow, Jungle and Snowy Chests. Is something wrong or I'm just unlucky?

That would be unlucky. You can just hold it for a world that gets a desert chest :)

Uh. I have just read that old worlds don't have desert chests, because they were added later...

try drinking a dangersense potion or 10 to see if you missed any crumbling blocks. or bomb the walls ultil you find ones that get destroyed.

Your world will always spawn with all regional chests. The only one that you will not find is the corruption specified chest which you did not pick, so if you picked crimson, there will be no "Corruption" chest. The dungeon layouts normally have special chest spawn in similar places. The best way to explore in my opinion is to get a weapon that emits light and can go though wall, that way you can expose areas of the mini map and discover any parts of the dungeon you may have missed. I don't think old worlds should be a problems, they should be updated to the new format, similarly to how your world is changed and new ores generate when breaking alters. If by some miracle you don't manage to find the chest you can always take mine if you wish.
