I have never tried to build above the ground outside of platforms but I don't know if the enemies that come out of the portals ignore collision or not, but I would just say that you can't build like that to prevent players from cheesing out the encounter through blocks.
It randomly worked once and now it won't work even tho I didn't change anything... who scripted this monster ? this is so getting on my nerves
I can't do any flatter than this and there is literally nothing above the stand, I even removed the platforms around just to be sure but nope still not enough
how much can they get from a man
-from each square out from the edge of the stand you can lower or raise the blocks one square
-the highest a cliff can be is 3 squares before its considered to be unclimbable
-you can have a roof but from the "floor" (the level from which the stand is placed) it needs to be at least 10 blocks
-you CAN have actuated blocks, but they HAVE to be active at the time of starting the fight. You can turn blocks off (remember the climbing rules, 3 high) after its started. Technically this can be used to make traps
