Mine a powerful ore that has been newly blessed upon your world.

I mined a meteor that had fallen and did not get this achievement. Am I not understanding it properly? Thanks!

You need to defeat Wall of Flesh and then break an Altar "It blesses your world iwth new ores" then mine it.

Yeah, first get into hardmode by defeating the wall of flesh, seek a demon altar, smash it with the Pwnhammer (dropped by the wall of flesh) or better, search for new and strange looking ores and mine them, a molten pickaxe is needed for this.

Meteor? Powerful? Blessed?
I understand how you might be confused, but when meteors were first introduced, I never saw it as a "blessing", let alone powerful.

I understand how you might be confused, but when meteors were first introduced, I never saw it as a "blessing", let alone powerful.
I misunderstood the achievement it had nothing to do with the meteors

a bit more of a tip but the new ore you can mine with the molten pick is palladium and cobal

you only get 1 in the world
